Overload protection is essential to prevent costly damage caused by incorrectly selected torques or user errors during assembly. A torque limiter fulfills this task by disconnecting the connection between the input and output when a preset torque is exceeded. This reliably prevents overload of the output and protects the following components.

The DMB torque limiter is an indispensable tool for any installation. Thanks to its compact design and flexible connection options, it can be seamlessly integrated into existing workflows. Its factory setting to a fixed release torque makes it extremely user-friendly and tamper-proof. It is particularly noteworthy that the DMB is maintenance-free and does not require recalibration. It can even be used in oily environments without any problems.

Functionality: The DMB torque limiter is factory-set to a fixed value, which eliminates user errors as accidental adjustment is not possible. Unlike torque wrenches for private use, the DMB is a reliable tool that continues to work reliably even after multiple load changes. This is made possible by a design similar to a safety clutch, in which preloaded disc springs ensure that the steelballs transfer the torque from the drive hub to the output side. The unique arrangement of the steelballs ensures that the limiter can immediately re-engage at the next detent point (45° or 36°) when the torque falls below the release torque.

The DMB torque limiter is particularly suitable for use with hand-operated assembly tools or as an attachment for hand levers. With standardized inch connections, it is ideally designed for recurring assembly work in the torque range of 3-30 Nm or 30-90 Nm. Depending on the size, the DMB is supplied with a 3/8″ or 1/2″ internal and external square drive and is ready for immediate use. Optionally, it can also be made of stainless steel or is available with a fixed handle, hexagonal bit, extension, or handwheel. Thanks to our 100% manufacturing in Germany, there are no limits and we can provide any connection desired by the customer.

Application examples:

  • Defined torque during assembly
  • Non-adjustable torque transmission—minimizes user error (e.g., when tightening screws)
  • Protection against overloading the screw connection
  • Protection against under-tightening the screw connection
